How to Replace a Battery on a Honeywell AC Wall Unit

Honeywell manufactures many types of home thermostats, from analogue models to digital programmable ones. Digital models require two double-A batteries, which allow the thermostat to save your settings, and retain your settings in the event of a power outage. After an extended period of time, the batteries will die, and must be replaced to resume operation of the thermostat. The batteries are located on the thermostat itself and are designed to be replaced by the homeowner.
