Place the bottom bracket portion on the main support bracket, insert the supplied bolts through the top of the support bracket into the lower component and screw bolts on to secure the two pieces together. Screw the supplied leveling bolt into the lower component from the front to the back.
Measure the width of the air conditioner and cut a piece of weather seal the same length. Peel the back off of the weather seal strip and press the strip down onto the windowsill, so that the unit sits on top of the seal when placed in the frame.
Hook the lip of support bracket on the windowsill, so that the back part of the support bracket is outside of the window. Adjust the leveling bolt so that the bracket is tilted back slightly at approximately 1/4 inch.
Align the supplied air conditioner guides to the sides and top of the air conditioner. Confirm that the guide holes and the holes in the air conditioner sides and top line up. Insert the supplied guide screws into the unit and screw them in with a screwdriver.
Measure the height of the window opening from the windowsill to the top of the frame. Subtract the height of the air conditioner unit from this measurement. Cut the plastic curtain component to the adjusted measurement. Slide the curtain into the supplied curtain frame and slide the frame legs into the side guides of the unit.
Measure the length of the side guides on the unit and cut strips of weather seal the same length. Peel the backs off of the seal and apply the seal to the back side of the side guides. When the unit is placed in the window, the guides and the seal will press up against the closed window and the side of the window frame, sealing off any openings for air to escape.
Insert the air conditioner into the window on top of the support bracket and butt it up against the side of the window frame close to the wall. Slide the open window over into the side guide of the air conditioner unit and adjust the plastic curtain frame to fit into the top of the window, if necessary.
Drill holes through the unit's bottom guide into the window track with a power drill. Insert the supplied screws into the holes and screw them in through the guide and into the track. Drill holes through the curtain frame into the window jamb, insert the supplied screws and screw them in.
Measure the locking side of the shut window and cut a piece of weather seal the same length. Peel the backing off of the weather seal and press it against the locking side of the shut window to prevent air from leaking out.
Insert the supplied L bracket into the lower corner of the shut window's locking side where the window and the jamb meet. Drill a hole into the window frame through the hole of the L bracket and insert the supplied screw. Screw the screw into the L bracket hole to prevent the window from opening from the outside.
