How to Make a Fairy Chair

Make your garden attractive to passing fairies by planting plenty of beautiful flowers and making a chair for them to rest in while they visit. Instructions

    • 1

Purchase an old chair from a garage sale or thrift store, or use an old chair you already have.

    • 2

Sand any rough surfaces on the chair. Thoroughly clean the chair with mild soap and water. Let the chair dry.

    • 3

Paint two coats of primer on the chair. Allow the primer to dry completely before adding the top coat.

    • 4

Paint the chair with a final coat of paint. Choose a paint that is made for outdoor use.

    • 5

Place the chair in a garden area that receives at least partial sun. Loosen the soil around the chair legs.

    • 6

Plant six morning glory seeds a few inches from the chair legs. Follow the packet directions. Thin the morning glories to two plants per leg. Fertilize and water them frequently. Allow the morning glories to climb the chair legs and back of the chair.
