How to Make a Mosaic Table With CDs

Recycle old or scratched CDs or DVDs by making them into a shiny mosaic. Create an eye-catching coffee table that is sure to be a conversation starter. Glue the pieces on randomly or make a picture using CDs of varying colors and patterns. Sketch out a drawing of a picture you'd like to make beforehand if you have an idea. Cut CDs into different sizes and shapes to make it look more interesting.

Things You'll Need

  • CDs or DVDs
  • Wire cutters
  • Flat surface table
  • Hot glue gun
  • Paintbrush
  • Clear lacquer

Instructions

      Break the CDs. You can use your hands to break them, but if you want more precise edges or shapes, cut them with wire cutters.

      Arrange the CD pieces on the table top as you'd like them to look.

      Glue the CD pieces on to the table using a hot glue gun.

      Brush on clear lacquer to give the table a nice finish. Allow it to dry.
