Glue two macaroni and cheese boxes together to make a living room couch. Do this by placing one box flat on a table, and turning the other one on the side. Glue the side of the second box onto the flat edge of the first one. This should make the back and "cushions" of a couch. Paint with craft paint or upholster with fabric scraps and your hot glue gun. You can also add some toilet paper or cotton balls as stuffing to make your couch soft and fluffy before covering it up with fabric.
Draw four 3-inch rectangles on the front of a cereal box -- one coming out from each corner. Cut out the strip on three sides, leaving the corner sides attached. Bend these up and outward, and flip the box over. These strips serve as table legs, and the top side of the box will be your kitchen table. Paint the box after the legs are completed, or drape a light piece of fabric over it for a tablecloth. For a fancy kitchen table, glue plastic or glass gems to the top and sides.
Use deodorant and hairspray bottle caps to add kitchen accessories to your furniture collection. A deodorant cap can serve as a kitchen sink when flipped over and glued to a small box for the base. The hairspray cap will make an ideal trash can to complete your kitchen set. Make a trash bag to place inside with a small piece of plastic wrap or waxed paper.
Cut out the bottom of an empty detergent bottle and leave the open side up. Fit a small- to medium-sized bear inside to enjoy his new bathtub. Paint the bottle scrap a more realistic bathtub color, such as white, ivory or pale blue, and use little pieces of cardboard to add detail such as faucets, a shower head or bath mat. A toothpaste cap can also serve well as a shower head.
