Drill four, 2-inch-diameter holes into the plank that will be your top shelf. Drill two holes on each short end of the plank, approximately 2 inches in from the sides, top and bottom of the plank.
Measure the exact diameter of the mouths of your beer bottles to determine how big to drill a hole for them to rest in. Drill four partial holes in the corners of the middle plank, big enough for the bottle mouths to sit snugly inside of, also 2-inches in. Stop drilling halfway through the thickness of the wood to create the grooves for bottle mouths to rest in. Drill the groves into the bottom side of the shelf.
Screw one cup hook in between the two bottle holes on each side of every shelf. Screw the hooks into the bottom of the top shelf, the top and bottom of the middle shelf and the top of the bottom shelf.
Use epoxy to bond four bottles onto the top end of the middle shelf. Position the bottles so that they correspond to the grooves on the bottom side of the plank and the holes in the top shelf. Allow the glue to dry according to package instructions.
Slide the top shelf over the bottle necks and seal it with epoxy. Connect the hook and eye restraints between the shelves.
Use epoxy to bond four bottles onto the top end of the bottom shelf. Position the bottles so that they correspond to the grooves on the bottom side of the plank and the holes in the top shelf. Allow to the glue to dry according to package instructions.
Fill the grooves on the underside of the middle shelf with epoxy and align the shelves so that the bottle mouths from the bottom shelf lock into the grooves underneath the middle shelf. Allow the epoxy to dry before attaching the hook and eye restraints.
