Incredible Yellow Corn Planting Instructions

"Incredible" is a sugar-enhanced, sweet yellow corn. This variety is a tender corn, excellent for freezing or canning, and eating alone or in side dishes. Knowing how, when and where to plant the corn affects the yield and success of your home crop. Harvest "Incredible" corn about 83 days after planting; expect the ears to be 8 to 9 inches in length.

      Pick a fertile garden spot with well-drained soil. An area with full sunlight during the day is optimal for "Incredible" corn.

      Plant the sugar-enhanced "Incredible" about a week later than standard sweet corn varieties. Aim for a soil temperature around 60 F to avoid poor germination.

      Sow "Incredible" seeds at a depth of 2 inches in light, sandy soils. A depth of 1 inch is acceptable for heavy soils.

      Plant the rows 30 to 36 inches apart for the best results. Space the seeds about eight to 12 inches apart in each row. If planting the corn in hills, space three or four seeds about three inches apart; each hill should be 30 inches away from the next, with rows 30 to 36 inches apart.
