Local Food Co-op Groups in Mississippi

Get fresh produce directly from the farm, without the added cost and staleness associated with local grocery stores and supermarkets, by using the facilities of a food cooperative or food co-op. Food co-op groups are set up by farmers or agents who represent several farms and provide fresh produce and groceries to customers. They can be set up on the farm itself or as a retail store. Buying from a food co-op supports local farmers who then provide quality products at good prices. Mississippi has several food co-op groups that serve local customers with fresh produce and grocery.
