Wipe off any dirt, bugs or other particles visible on the surface of the cilantro by hand. Pull off any foreign substances that do not belong and throw them away.
Put all of the cilantro in a large bowl and place the bowl in the sink. Hold the cilantro by the stems and fill up the bowl with water. Empty out the water and fill up the bowl again. Repeat the process until the water is no longer dirty when the bowl is full.
Remove the cilantro from the large bowl. Hold it by the stems over the kitchen sink and shake it dry. Move it around in a circular motion and from side to side until it is dry.
Set the cilantro on a flat surface and blot it dry with paper towels. Be careful not to push too hard or the leaves will break. Flip the cilantro over and repeat the process for the other side.
