Types of Okra Vegetables

Grow your own okra and add the annual vegetable to salads, soups, stews and more. There are different varieties of okra to choose from. Some varieties are ornamental, others mature quickly and grow well in cool climates. Pick a variety that will do well in your garden and on your table. Once you harvest your okra, you can eat it raw, fried or incorporate it into other dishes like stews, soups and gumbo.
