How to Make a Vegetable Wash to Remove Pesticides

Many fruits and vegetables are raised using chemicals and pesticides that can be harmful to a person's health if ingested. To ensure that your food is completely clean and safe to eat, consider washing it in a special rinse that will remove the chemicals. Make the pesticide wash yourself using items that you likely already own or can pick up at a health foods store. Even if you plan to peel the food before eating it, wash it first so that the pesticides are not transferred through the peeling or cutting process.
