How to Kill Cockroaches with Vinegar

Cockroaches are pesky insects that can be a nuisance in any household. They are attracted to food crumbs, odors and standing water, and can spread bacteria throughout the home. If you have an aversion to chemical-based pest control products, you can incorporate vinegar into your daily chores to prevent cockroach infestation.

Instructions

      Pour 2 cups of vinegar into 1 gallon of warm water in a bucket. Clean all hard surfaces in your home, including kitchen cabinets, sinks, bath tubs and floors at least once a week.

      Pour 1 cup of vinegar down each household drain. This will prevent the cockroaches from entering the home through dirty drains.

      Pour 1 cup of water, 1 cup of vinegar and 1 tablespoon of sudsy liquid soap into a spray bottle. Periodically spray countertops and stoves during cooking to eradicate any lingering food smells or crumbs. Wipe surfaces with a clean cloth.
