How to Use NatureMill Kitchen Composter

The NatureMill Kitchen Composter may be placed on the countertop or inside a cabinet, providing the ability to easily compost your household food waste. Plug the machine into a standard outlet and deposit your leftover fruit, vegetable, meat, dairy and coffee grounds into the upper chamber. The NatureMill Kitchen Composter then mixes, heats and aerates the materials. The machine later moves the material to the lower cure tray through the trap door, allowing you to continue adding items to the upper chamber. Finished compost is ready within two weeks. The NatureMill Kitchen Composter can process up to 120 lbs of kitchen waste per month.

Instructions

    • 1

Cut food waste into small pieces. This will prevent jamming of the machine and speed the composting process.

    • 2

Deposit food waste in the upper chamber. Vegetables, fruit, eggs, eggshells, meat, dairy and coffee grounds can be added. Avoid putting corn cobs or animal bones in the chamber as this may cause the machine to jam. Use a variety of materials to provide a more balanced finished compost.

    • 3

Close lid. Continue to add food waste to the upper chamber as it is generated, cutting items into small pieces before adding.

    • 4

Remove compost from lower cure tray when the indicator light illuminates red. Material may be added directly to garden or houseplants.
