  Pour a bag of red cinder rock into a wheelbarrow with the help of an assistant.

  Roll the wheelbarrow to the area where you would like to use the red cinder rock. Red cinder rock makes a decorative ground cover along footpaths, in garden beds and in rock gardens. You can sprinkle the rock wherever there is a bare space in your yard or garden.

  Scoop out a shovel-full of red cinder rock and slowly shake it across your garden bed, making sure not to cover up any plants.

  Dump the wheelbarrow-full of red cinder rock on a foot path or in a rock garden bed so that there is a pile. Use a heavy rake--not a leaf rake--to pull the rocks into place in the bed or on the path.
