How to Kill Weeds Next to Natural Stones

If left unchecked, weeds growing next to natural stones can create an eyesore. If the weeds have established themselves under or next to stone, it can be difficult to remove them by hand. Treating the weeds with a herbacide or poison can damage the stone's natural color, making these solutions less than ideal. In this situation, killing the weeds using boiling water may be the best solution. The boiling water will seep through the cracks between the natural stone to be absorbed by the roots of the weeds. This distributes the boiling water throughout the plants, killing them from the inside out.
