Apply bird-proof gel to the sides of the house. Using a painter's brush, spread the gel in a thin layer to anywhere birds normally perch. Apply gel to the roof, windowsills, gutters, and ledges, as well as any other areas where you notice that birds perch.
Fasten bird netting to any overhangs under which birds nest. This will prevent birds from hiding in the crevices of the roof.
Secure a realistic-looking false predator on the roof of your house. Owls are natural predators of pigeons, and if you place one on the roof of your house, it will frighten some pigeons away. Move the location of the owl once a week so that the pigeons don't become used to the predator.
Place iridescent foil along the sides of the house where birds typically perch. This foil will catch any available light and scare pigeons away. Pigeons will view it as a potential predator or threat and will stay away from the roof.
