How Can I Fix a Husqvarna 55 When the Drop Out Is Plugged?

The 55, or "Rancher," is a chainsaw manufactured by Husqvarna, the outdoor supply company that also manufactures lawn trimmers, edgers and leaf blowers. The Rancher is equipped with a 3.2-liter, 53 cc engine with an idle speed of 2,500 rpm and 9,000 rpm at full throttle. The Rancher is intended for heavy use by commercial landscapers. Through normal use, the saw can get very dirty and clogged up with debris, dirt and specifically sawdust. The bar oiler (sometimes referred to as the "dropout" on the chainsaw) is a pump that automatically distributes oil onto the blade and chain on the saw. This keeps the saw lubricated, thus making it easier to keep cutting while working. Clearing out the bar oiler tube, or dropout, can be done in 30 minutes.
