Drain the fuel out of the Troy-Bilt snowblower gas tank with a hand siphon. Siphon the fuel into a spare gas can for the snowblower. Pull the spark plug wire away from the spark plug, and tilt the snowblower forward until it is standing on the auger housing. The wheel will be up in the air.
Clean the inside of the rim with a brush, and wipe away any dirt residue with a rag. The inside lip of the rim must be clean for the tire bead sealant to make a good seal.
Wrap a ratchet strap around the outside circumference of the Troy-Bilt snowblower tire. Tighten the strap until it is snug around the tire. Brush or spray the tire bead sealant on the inside lip of the rim and the inside circumference of the tire.
Tighten the ratchet strap until the tire is against the inside lip of the rim. Remove the cap from the tire valve stem, and fill the tire with 10psi of air with an air compressor.
Loosen the ratchet strap slowly and check the seal between the tire and rim. Add more air until the tire “pops” indicating it is sealing against the rim.
Remove the ratchet strap from the tire, and fill it with up to 20psi of air depending upon your model. The recommended air pressure is on the sidewall of the tire for your unit. Once you inflate the tire, lower the unit back onto its tires and plug the spark plug wire over the spark plug. Fill the fuel tank before starting the Troy-Bilt snowblower.
