How to Adjust the Blades on a Vermeer Tree Spade

If you are a landscaper or just need to remove an old tree on your property, a Vermeer tree spade can help you with that process. The Vermeer tree spade generally hooks onto the back of a truck so that it can easily be taken to the trees that need to be removed. A series of blades on the tree spade grasps and lifts trees out of the ground. You can even use the tree spade to transport trees to another location. The device had adjustable blades, which are used for this process.

     Back the tree spade up to the tree you want to remove, if you have not already done so.

     Stand at the operator control panel.

     Push the blade toggle switch up or down for the blade that you want to adjust. The toggle switches are numbered for each blade. Pushing the toggle up raises the blade and pushing it down lowers the blade. Adjust each blade as necessary to prepare for tree removal.
