MTD 3.5HP Chipper Specifications

Overview

• The MTD chipper machine is approximately 12 inches by 26 inches by 41 inches and has an ability to shred items such as leaves, branches and other pieces that are 2 inches in size or less. The overall reduction ratio in size from the original item to the chipped product is 10 to 1, and the debris is collected into an attached 2.5-bushel bag.

Power and Capabilities

• With a four-cycle OHV engine and a recoil start, the MTD chipper has a 208cc motor and has a steel chopper blade. The wheels are 10 inches by 2.75 inches in size and are made out of plastic. Overall, the machine can reduce approximately 10 garbage bags of lawn debris into the equivalent of one bag.

Feed Hopper

• The chipper has a 3-in-1 shredder vacuum with a drop-in hopper to pull items into the unit and chip the item down to size. Items can be dropped down or raked into the chute without resetting the chute or manually opening the hopper. Replacement blades are available through MTD or at many home and garden repair stores.

Warranty

• Made out of the fabricated steel, the impeller is meant to last a long time, and the machine comes with a two-year limited warranty. This includes a two-year limited warranty on the engine and an overall two-year warranty on the chipper.
