How to Replace a Poulon Pro Flex Shaft

Poulan's professional line of string trimmers includes a flex shaft for your comfort. The shaft absorbs some of the vibration that occurs when the tool is on. When using a string trimmer for several hours at a time, the flex shaft keeps your arms and hands from tiring as quickly. If the shaft suddenly has more vibration than normal, check for a crack or break in the shaft. Replace the shaft if it is faulty.

Turn the Poulan weed trimmer off and place it on a flat surface like a table or workbench. Let the tool cool off completely to avoid burns.
