Allis Chalmers 816 Backhoe Specifications

Allis-Chalmers started in the 1840s in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In 1990, it sold its farming section to AGCO, and Allis-Chalmers itself ceased operations in January 1999. The company specialized in farming equipment, especially tractors. One such tractor was the T-816 tractor loader backhoe, which was produced from 1982 through 1985. You can still purchase this tractor from third-party dealers or rent it to help you with certain yard duties.

    • The Allis-Chalmers T-816 was 5-feet 6 inches long by 3-feet 2 inches wide by 3-feet 5 inches high. Engine

    • The engine on this tractor was an Industrial/Commercial Briggs & Stratton 16 horsepower (HP) engine. A horsepower is equivalent to between 735.5 to 750 watts, which means that your total wattage for this tractor was 120 kilowatts (kW). It had a revolutions-per-minute (RPM) rating of 3,600, and it had a two-cylinder engine. According to Simple Tractors, you could use the Allis-Chalmers T-816 tractor for nearly any type of garden or lawn duty. The engine came with an air cooling system, which used air flow to take away heat from the engine, while you were operating it. This decreases the possibility of the engine overheating.
