How to Thread Handystik Weedeaters

Open the Handystik weed trimmer battery door and remove the battery to ensure that the weed trimmer does not accidentally turn the trimmer spool while reloading the trimmer line.

Press down and turn the trimmer line spool and then pull the spool from the housing. Remove leftover trimmer line on the spool.

Place one inch of the end of the refill line through the small hole located in the center spindle of the spool. Wind the refill line in the direction indicated by the arrows on the spool. Note that the line should be wound evenly on the spool to ensure that the line feeds cleanly during use.

Hold down the trimmer line with your thumb and cut the refill line with scissors or wire cutters when the spool is full. Place the trimmer line spool back into the trimmer line spool housing by first inserting the trimmer line through the eyelet of the trimmer line spool housing from the inside out.

Press down on the spool and turn in the direction indicated by the arrows on the spool housing until the spool is secured. Plug the battery back in and snap the battery cover into place.
