How to Separate Buckets

Useful for household, garden and commercial projects, buckets are a common item. Buckets are often stacked inside of each other to save space in storage areas, especially when the buckets are the same or similar sizes. The buckets can create a suction effect when stacked and can become stuck together. You can effectively release the suction and separate the buckets with a hair dryer.

Instructions

    • 1

Plug in a hair dryer and set it to high heat and the highest blower setting.

    • 2

Point the hairdryer at the stack of buckets and wave it over the top rim of the bottom bucket. This will cause it to expand and separate from the bucket stacked on top of it.

    • 3

Pull the top bucket out of the bottom one. Pull upward only, keeping the bucket as straight as possible. It should slide out easily.
