Facts About the International 414 Tractor

International Harvester was the world's dominant tractor producer in the 1950s and 1960s. The company produced a number of small tractors for use on family farms. Its A and B 414 tractors were common utility machines in the 1960s.
  1. Years of Production

    • Production of the B-414 began in 1961 in England. The Australian model, the A-414, followed in 1962. Production of both tractors continued until 1966.

    Capacity

    • According to Tractor Data, the 414 featured a fuel capacity of roughly 11 gallons. The tractor was available with a diesel engine or a gasoline engine. The engine had four cylinders and was capable of providing 36 horsepower.

    Features

    • Standard features on the 414 included automatic drift control hydraulics, self-energizing disc brakes and differential lock. The tractor had an automatic transmission that allowed eight forward speeds and two reverse speeds.
