Alternative for Soft PVC Hose

Soft polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or vinyl is a popular substance for making hoses. However, an increasing number of studies have found that PVC can contain hazardous chemicals dangerous to the environment and people's health. Using non-PVC hoses can reduce these risks.
  1. Rubber Hose

    • Braided PVC hoses offer higher resistance to pressure than rubber hoses. Rubber hoses are a widely available alternative to PVC hoses and do not pose as great an environmental risk as PVC.

    Polyethylene Hose

    • Polyethylene (PE) hose is recyclable, non-toxic and odorless. It is lightweight, durable, resists high pressure and has high tensile strength. PE hose also resists ultraviolet (UV) rays, general aging, abrasion and corrosion.

    Silicon Hose

    • Braided silicon hose is reinforced with polyester threads and is suitable for use in multiple industrial sectors. Silicon hose can be sterilized and resists exposure to oxidation, ozone and radiation. Hoses made from silicon can resist temperatures ranging from -112 degrees Fahrenheit to 482 degrees Fahrenheit.
