Remove your Husqvarna's spark plug wire.
Pull the front hand guard back to disengage the chain brake.
Remove the clutch cover's retaining bolts with your socket set, then pull the clutch cover off.
Attach the clutch removal tool to the clutch assembly and turn it clockwise to remove it, as it uses a left-handed thread system. Pull the entire clutch assembly off the drive shaft, including the sprocket, clutch drum and washers.
Push the hand guard forward and remove the screws holding it in place. Also use your socket set to remove the brake cover retaining bolts.
Use your screwdriver to carefully work both the chain brake band and spring out from the saw, then insert the replacement band and spring.
Set the brake cover in place then replace the retaining bolts. Re-install your hand guard by setting it into place and installing the retaining screws with your screwdriver.
Install the clutch assembly back onto the drive shaft, using the clutch tool to tighten it into place. Set the clutch cover back into place and tighten its retaining bolts, too.
Replace your Husqvarna's spark plug wire.
