Test out the air gun to make sure that you have enough high-pressure air coming from the gun. This will eliminate the possibility of having a faulty gauge on your unit. If you aren't getting any air from the gun, you probably have a faulty compressor. Have a technician replace the compressor.
Turn the sandblaster on and use the gun. Confirm that the abrasive is coming out of the gun's nozzle. If you aren't getting any of the abrasive coming out of the line, try moving the gun around or tapping it on the ground. Doing this will free up the line.
Check the abrasive tank to make sure that you have enough of the substance in the tank. Check over the feed lines if you have enough of substance in the tank. You can disconnect the feed line and use a pencil or pen to unclog them. If this still doesn't work, have a technician check out the mixing valve.
Sandblast a piece of material and look over the work. If you don't get the result you should from the machine, change the nozzle. Nozzles can wear over time and make the blast pattern less effective.
Drain any moisture collected by the compressor. The drain valve is located on the bottom of the compressor. Use a wrench to turn the valve counterclockwise. Although this is considered preventative maintenance, this can also save your compressor if noticed it fast enough.
