Bissell Powerwash 1697E Instructions

The Bissell Powerwash 1697 Pro is a carpet steamer used to lift dirt and stains off of carpet and upholstery with very hot water and detergent solutions. The 1697 mixes the detergent with the hot water to go deep into the carpet and loosen the dirt of the stains off of the surface. By holding the spray trigger, the users can disperse the solution through the main housing or through the attachment hose.

  Move any furniture out of the way so you aren't obstructed while cleaning. Release the handle to your 1697 and lay the body down. Remove the water tank from the base of the 1697 and take the tank to your sink.

  Measure the proper amount of solution and water for the water tank through the measuring cup. Fill the tank up with hot water and then replace the tank back on the 1697.

  Go to the bottom of the tank and choose the dial that is applicable for your flooring. Plug the unit into a wall outlet and turn the 1697 on at the "Power" switch on the back of the handle.

  Hold the trigger down as you make your strokes across the dirty flooring. Release the trigger and move the 1697 over the wet area to suck up the water.

  Turn the unit off from the power switch when you are done cleaning the floor. Remove the water tank from the base of the unit and then release the bottom tank from the unit via the clips on the side.
