Red Max EBZ8001 Backpack Blower Specs

RedMax manufactures outdoor power equipment. It began in 1910 as the Tokyo Gas Kogyo Company. Currently a part of the Husqvarna group, RedMax continues to create an array of hardware, including trimmers, chainsaws, edgers and blowers. The RedMax EBZ8001 backpack blower helps to move debris such as dead leaves and food wrappers.
  1. Engine

    • Red Max EBZ8001 backpack blowers feature an air-cooled, 2-cycle gas engine using Strato-Charged "Green" engine technology. The motor operates between 2,000 and 6,700 rpm and has a displacement of 4.39 cubic inches. The engine consumes 0.50 gallons of fuel per hour and uses a noise-proof, NGK CMR7H spark plug. The motor for the EBZ8001 has a rotary-type carburetor valve and a two-stage, fresh-flow air filter system. The blower uses a digital ignition system to start the engine.

    Construction

    • The Red Max EBZ8001 backpack blower is 21.3 inches wide, 15.4 inches long and has a height of 19.5 inches. The blower has a dry weight of 25.4 lbs. Fuel capacity is 0.61 gallons. Housing for the blower is made of ABS plastic designed to resist impact. The contoured back pad and extra wide straps are oversized to provide increased comfort when operating the machine.

    Air

    • Red Max EBZ8001 blowers produce a maximum air velocity of 201 mph and a maximum air volume of 915 cubic feet per minute without the standard pipe. The average air volume with the pipe attached is 685 cubic feet per minute. Noise level for this blower is 77 dB. The machine controls blowing air by the MaxCruise speed control system mounted on the tube. The air system also uses an oversized air filter, located on top of the machine.

    Features

    • EBZ8001 backpack blowers feature a Max Cooled back pad which is air-forced, helping users keep cool during hot operating conditions. Several nozzle configurations and vacuum kits provide flexible configurations to match different work requirements. You can have the throttle on the righthand side on the tube, or on the lefthand side as a hip throttle. The blower has an exposed fuel tank to make monitoring fuel levels easier. The shock mount, made of rubber, comes equipped with a vibe-reduction system. Controls for this unit include a stop switch, throttle lever, choke lever, ignition switch and recoil starter.
