How to Remove a Husqvarna Chainsaw Piston

The piston on your Husquvarna is located inside the chainsaw's cylinder. If you have a problem with your chainsaw overheating or locking up, you will need to replace the cylinder. Replacement cylinders are available at Husqvarna retailers. Replacing the cylinder in your Husqvarna chainsaw is not very difficult, but if you are nervous about the repair you should have a professional perform the assembly. Removing the cylinder could void your warranty if not handled properly.
