How to Tell the Year of a Cub Cadet Lawn Mower

Cub Cadet began making machinery in the early 1960s and now makes products for use in nearly any type of landscaping job, whether it be to dig a large hole or simply to mow a lawn. As with any type of machinery, Cub Cadet mower parts can eventually break down and need replacement. In such situations, it's useful to have the serial number, model number and the year of the machine on hand.

Instructions

    • 1

Lift up the seat on the Cub Cadet mower to reveal a rectangular model plate. The top of the model plate should have an 11-digit model number and an 11-digit serial number. Write both of these numbers down on a sheet of paper. Look on the deck or rear door of the discharge unit on push mowers.
