Unscrew the chain sprocket cover nuts with the supplied wrench and remove the chain sprocket cover. The cover is located on the body of the chainsaw where the chain goes into the front of the saw.
Pull the chain brake backwards towards the handle of the chainsaw. The chain brake is the plastic bar used to stop a chainsaw chain from spinning during an emergency situation.
Turn the flat-head screw located under the chain sprocket cover counterclockwise until the screw slides against the left side of the housing. Use the supplied flat-head screwdriver for this.
Slide the chain bar back and pull the old chain off the bar and sprocket.
Place the new chain onto the bar and sprocket. Start at the tip of the chain bar and work your way around. Make sure the chain rests inside the groove on the chain bar.
Pull the chain bar outward to apply pressure onto the chain.
Turn the screw located under the sprocket cover clockwise until you can pull the chain around the bar but you cannot pull the chain off the bar.
Place the chain sprocket cover in place and secure it with the two bolts and the supplied wrench.
