Turn off your insect fogger and set it down on a hard, non-flammable surface to allow it to cool. Never work on it while it's hot because you might burn yourself on the metal cage or with the insecticide.
Put on protective gloves so that you won't burn yourself on the surface of the fogger or on any insecticide that's inside it.
Clean the fogger's spray tip by pulling it up and away from the cage. Insert a pipe cleaner into the small tube to clear away the clog. Sometimes a toothpick or thin piece of wire will work, but a pipe cleaner can reach farther down into the tip to remove deeper clogs.
Clean the pump assembly by removing the pump assembly cover and inserting a small wire or pipe cleaner into the hole to remove any clogs.
