Instructions for the EarthWay EV-N Spred

Pour the material that you wish to spread on your yard into the bucket located on top of the spreader. Do not overfill this bucket -- add the material until it comes up to the "Fill" line near the top of the bucket. Keep the container the material came in to store what you don't use.

Find the material you're using on the rate setting chart that came with the EV-N-SPRED. This chart will tell you the appropriate rate setting for the material you're using. Push or pull the "Rate Control" lever located on the upper portion of the handle to the number specified in the chart.

Push the spreader to the location where you would like to begin. Pull the "Control" lever located next to the "Rate Control" lever back toward you until it locks into place. The spreader is now ready for use. Begin pushing the spreader forward and the material will begin to be released. Walk at a slow, steady pace -- don't walk too fast or run or the material will be spread unevenly.

Push the "Control" lever back to the forward position to close the holes at the bottom of the spreader. Once this is done, it's safe to stop pushing the spreader. Remove the remaining material from the bucket and replace it in its original container for future use. Use a hose or bucket of water to clean out the material bucket.
