How to Troubleshoot an MTD Riding Mower

MTD's riding mower makes it easier to cut the grass of a large yard than by using a push mower. The riding mower is powered by a small engine that drives the cutting blades and moves the tractor. If the MTD mower does not start, or runs poorly, there are troubleshooting steps the manufacturer recommends following. MTD riding mowers are available in a variety of models and sizes, but the basic troubleshooting procedures are the same for most models.
