Instructions

    • 1

Clear away any large rocks that surround the maple tree stump with a shovel. Removing the rocks from around the stump will ensure your safety when using the stump grinder.

    • 2

Put on a pair of eye goggles and ear protection before starting up the stump grinder.

    • 3

Start the stump grinder and walk it over to the maple tree stump. Be sure to keep the front of the grinder up and even on its back wheels.

    • 4

Raise the spinning wheel on the grinder just above the stump then slowly lower it onto the stump. Pivot the stump grinder on its back wheels so that the grinding wheel moves back and forth over the maple tree stump. Break away little pieces of the stump with a side to side motion until the entire stump has been broken up 6 inches below the surface.

Turn off the grinder and collect all of the mulch from the stump with a rake.
