How to Grow Tomatoes in North Florida

Tomatoes are one of the most common crops grown in the United States. They are easy to plant and take care of, and can be planted in any region, with the exception of Alaska. As a result of North Florida's warm climate, tomatoes can be planted there as early as January. In most cases, tomatoes are not planted until February or March. Tomato plants are available for purchase at local gardening stores, and will save you the extra six or eight weeks that it takes to raise seeds.
