How to Decorate Lattice With Tulle

Tulle is often used to decorate for weddings, receptions and other special occasions. Decorate lattice with tulle both indoors and outside for a dreamlike atmosphere. Lattice is used indoors as well as out. Choices include arches or a long flat piece of lattice for a focal point, or behind the bride and groom or guest of honor at other events. Gazebos are outdoors and often have lattice sides and tops that create a stunning affect when decorated with tulle.

Instructions

    • 1

Measure the lattice that will be decorated with tulle. Begin at the base on the left side, up around the top, to the bottom of the right side. Multiply this amount by three to determine the length of tulle needed.

    • 2

Cut tulle to desired length and fold in half to mark the center of the tulle.

    • 3

Secure the center of the tulle to the center of the lattice to ensure both sides are even.

    • 4

Weave tulle in and out of lattice for desired effect. Alternatively drape and gather tulle to both sides of the lattice before weaving.

    • 5

Make six loops out of tulle that are approximately a foot long. Attach loops with white floral wire and fluff to construct a large bow and place on top or sides of lattice. Alternatively, create several small bows using smaller loops and put in various places or place a line of small bows along the sides of the tulle. Or, gather sides of tulle to a 3-foot height and tie with a large bow made of tulle or ribbon.

Embellish with ribbon, flowers, petals, small floral bouquets, long pearl strands and balloons as desired.
