Instructions

    • 1

Put on your safety goggles. Drill a hole in the four spoon handles, about 1/8 of an inch from the end of the spoon. Sand down the holes with the metal file, making sure to leave no sharp edges or ridges.

    • 2

Pick out a fork that will form the hanging part for the wind chime. Drill a hole in the flat part of the fork, just above where the tines are located. Sand the hole with the metal file to prevent sharp edges.

    • 3

Use needle-nose pliers to bend back the tines of the fork to a ninety degree angle. Bend the two outermost tines so that they face east and west or out from the fork. Bend the two innermost tines so that they face north and south. Use the needle-nose pliers tips to curl the ends of the tines.

    • 4

Create a hook for the chimes by bending back the handle of the fork, using the pliers.

    • 5

Drill a hole in the end of the base fork, about 1/8 of an inch in from the handle. Sand with the metal file to remove any snags or sharp edges.

    • 6

Tie some fishing line in the hole in the first hanging fork to the hole in the base fork. The base fork should hang down about six inches.

Thread fishing line through the holes made by the tines in the hanging fork. Tie the opposite end of each piece of fishing line to the holes in the spoons. The round part or bowl of the spoons should touch the stem of the base fork.
