How to Create Shade in a Backyard

Build a gazebo to create shade in your backyard. Gazebos generally look like small structures with screening on all sides, although styles can differ. Grow shade trees, such as evergreen, in your yard. Evergreen trees provide shade all year round. Plant quaking aspen trees inexpensively for shade--these grow quickly with almost no maintenance. Shade master trees also grow quickly, becoming full-grown in three years, and providing much shade in your backyard.
