Instructions

    • 1

Decorate with a wreath for a colorful and friendly entrance to your front door. Styrofoam wreaths can be purchased at hobby stores and discount stores. Use a hot-glue gun to attach leaves, pine cones and dried corn on the cob. Attach a large red or orange bow to complement the arrangement.

    • 2

Arrange dried corn stalks standing up in the front yard. Place the stalks around a lamppost, or drive a stake into the ground for support. Tie rope around the center to hold the stalks in place. Place a basket of fall flowers or pumpkins at the base for more color.

    • 3

Adorn porch pillars with dried corn stalks. Tie the stalks to the pillars with ribbon in autumn colors.

    • 4

Purchase a scarecrow or make your own, and place it on the front porch. Homemade scarecrows require old clothing, stuffing, a painted face and a floppy hat. Tie the bottom of the legs and arms together and fill with stuffing.

    • 5

Alternate potted fall flowers and pumpkins on a porch railing and the steps, or beside the front door.
