How do I Keep an Outdoor Inflatable Globe From Getting Moisture on the Inside?

Moisture buildup on the inside of a snow globe is condensation. Condensation occurs when water vapor in the air meets a cold surface, cools and turns into water droplets. The key is to keep the air inside of the snow globe as warm and stable as possible. Choosing a correct location for the snow globe before inflating it for the first time will help prevent the need for moving the snow globe to a more efficient location.

Instructions

    • 1

Move the snow globe onto a flat, hard surface and into an area with full sunlight. Concrete is an effective surface beneath snow globes. Placing a snow globe on the yard will promote condensation due to the moisture and temperature changes of the ground beneath the globe.

Inflate the snow globe. Keep it running continuously without shutting it off. Keeping the globe turned on will keep the temperature inside of the globe stable and help to prevent inside moisture. It is safe to keep the globe on at all times. Turning the globe off and on will do harm to the globe by causing the plastic to inflate and deflate in winter temperatures.

Inflate the snow globe inside during inclimate weather such as rain, snow or sleet. Place it in a basement or a garage, and let it run inside until it has completely dried out before deflating it to return it to the outdoor area.
