Instructions

    • 1

Level the template horizontally on a flat surface and tape down all four corners.

    • 2

Stencil on names, dates, and any quotes or poems that are important to the loved one. Use smaller letter stencils for quotes and poems, where names and dates should be larger than surrounding text.

    • 3

Draw on any images that remind you of the individual. If you would like to use a photograph of the person in their memory, tape the photograph to the template paper in the desired location. If you would like to include drawings or images from online or another source, tape the print outs onto the template in the desired location as well.

    • 4

Tape the tracing paper over the template paper by aligning the edges and placing a piece of tape over each corner to secure the tracing paper to the table. Use a fine-tipped marker to carefully trace every line onto the tracing paper. This will eliminate any confusion caused by eraser lines previously drawn onto the template paper.

    • 5

Send drawn template to an engraver to have the design placed on a slanted monument.
