Pour the amount of concrete needed to fill the molds into a bucket.

Fill the petroleum jelly coated molds with the concrete mixture. Even the top of the concrete mixture with a mason's trowel .Pull a scrap piece of 2-by-4 lumber over the top of the concrete to level the surface.
Let the concrete set for 10 minutes. Decorate the concrete while it is still wet by Setting beads, tiles, pebbles or other decorative items into the concrete or use rubber stamps, leaves, or other textured items to press images and patterns into the concrete's surface. Let dry overnight then remove the molds and pop out the finished stepping stone.
