Instructions

    • 1

Wash out a 2-liter plastic bottle and allow it to dry. Use scissors or a drill to create a medium-sized hole in the lid of your plastic bottle.

    • 2

Tear a paper towel in half and then push it through the hole in your lid. Push through only a small amount of the paper towel, leaving most of the paper towel sticking up out of the lid.

    • 3

Place the bottle lid onto a larger lid, such as a large jar lid that is deeper than the lid. Use a hot glue gun to create four small bridges that connect the big lid to the small lid.

    • 4

Allow time for the hot glue to dry and remove the paper towel. Add 1/4 cup of sugar and 1 cup of cool water to the 2-liter bottle. Mix the sugar and water around in the bottle.

    • 5

Take the glued lids and screw on the 2-liter bottle cap to the bottle. Take your feeder outside and turn the bottle over. Place the bottle in your garden or in an area that hummingbirds can get to.
