How to Hang Letters on a Nursery Wall Like a Clothes Line

You can decorate your child's nursery with an alphabet theme by hanging the ABCs on a clothesline. If you've tried to glue or nail a clothesline to the wall, though, you'll realize that having the right tools is essential for making this wall decoration. In addition, as your child gets older it will be important to have all strings safely secured to the wall.

Things You'll Need

  • White map pin

Instructions

    • 1

Use a white map pin to attach one end of the white yarn to the wall. The map pin should be about six feet off the ground.

    • 2

Stretch the clothesline over several feet of the wall and use another map pin to secure the second side at the same height as the first.

    • 3

Add clothespins to the makeshift clothesline and slip the letter cutouts into the clothespins.

    • 4

Adjust the second map pin as necessary to make room for all of the letters.

    • 5

Secure the clothespins to the wall with finishing nails.
