Instructions

    • 1

Set your stepping stone mold on a level surface. Coat the interior of the mold with a release agent like petroleum jelly or cooking spray.

    • 2

Put on gloves, a dust mask and goggles. Mix your concrete following the manufacturer's instructions. Pour only enough concrete that you are going to use for one stone into a bucket with the amount of water the manufacturer recommends. Mix the concrete and water together with a drill fitted with a mixing paddle.

    • 3

Make sure the stepping stone mold is setting level. Pour your mixed concrete into the stepping stone mold. Let the concrete set 10 to 15 minutes until it is only slightly firm.

    • 4

Spray cooking spray over the dragonfly pattern of a dragonfly-shaped cookie cutter. Press the cookie cutter into the slightly firm concrete. Gently remove the cookie cutter to reveal the dragonfly pattern in the concrete. Stamp the concrete as many times as you want to create different looks.

    • 5

Let the concrete set overnight to dry. Remove the stepping stone from the mold by flipping the mold over and pressing on the back and sides of the mold until the stone is released.
