How to Space LED M516 Lights

With LED (light emitting diodes) lights you can allow the beauty of your garden to be seen at night, protect your home from thieves or animals, or create an active night time outside area. This type of light is produced by fluorescent or incandescent bulbs. LED lights are inexpensive, energy efficient and require very low maintenance. The spacing of these lights in your outdoor area is relatively simple with a little bit of planning.

Instructions

    • 1

Determine the area that you want to place the lights.

    • 2

Measure the area. Lights on residential homes are typically placed 6 to 8 feet apart (commercial areas are 4 to 6 feet).

    • 3

Lay, on the ground, a light or cluster of lights every 6 feet. Make sure that your lights end where an electric outlet is close.

    • 4

Dig a hole and place the lights in each, as well as the electric line between each light. Complete this step only when you are certain of the placement of each light.

    • 5

Attach the electric cord, if needed.
