# How to Clean a Brome Squirrel Buster Plus Bird Feeder
The Squirrel Buster Plus is a specially designed bird feeder made to keep squirrels from eating the bird seed. The slender, unique design allows small and medium birds to easily eat from the feeder, but squirrels and large nuisance birds cannot. Just like any other type of bird feeder, the Squirrel Buster Plus must be cleaned periodically to remove built up dirt, seed decay and other organic matter.
Things You'll Need
- 2 buckets
- Dish detergent
- White vinegar
- Rags
- Towel

Disassemble the Squirrel Buster Plus. Refer to the instructions including with the feeder, or follow the link in the Resource section for specific disassembling instructions.

Fill a bucket with warm water. Add a couple squirts of dish detergent. Use your hands to mix up the soap and water. Fill another bucket with white vinegar.

Scrub each component of the feeder with a rag and the soapy water. Dip each component into the bucket of vinegar to rinse and disinfect.

Dry the parts with a clean rag, then lay them on a clean towel to air dry the rest of the way.
